Without to hesitate the answer will be Thomas Edison, who otherwise? - Nevertheless both answers are wrong.

The correct answer would be Nikola Tesla, a person, of who the few ever heard of.
He discovered X-rays one year before W.K. Roentgen, he built a tube amplifier some years before Lee de Forest, he used neon light in its laboratory, 40 years before the industry it invented , he showed the principles, which we use today for microwav oven and radar, decades before they became a part of our society. We associate its name nevertheless with none of these inventions.
To its inventions belongs three-phase alternating current, alternating-current motor, Tesla coil, radio engineering, remote controls, radio (energy transmitter, receiver for free energy), high frequency lamp, disk runner turbine and more than 700 other patents.
